  • Cantor Fitzgerald, L.P. announced that Eugene Gorfin has joined as COO. He will oversee the operations, human resources, marketing & communications, compliance and administrative functions, partnering closely with executive leadership across Cantor, BGC, and Newmark to advance strategic priorities and support continued growth. Gorfin joins Cantor Fitzgerald from Barclays, where he most recently served as Managing Director, Americas Deputy Chief Operating Officer, and CEO of the U.S. Services Entity.  
  • Jonathan Rose Companies has added Alix Rice as Managing Director of Investor Relations and Capital Formation. Ricewill lead the company’s Investor Relations team, serving as the key liaison for an established network of investors, consultants and strategic partners. 
  • Newmark Group, Inc. appointed Mike Whitaker as Newmark’s Group Chief Information Officer. He will report to Chief Operating Officer Luis Alvarado and work closely with Chief Strategy Officer Kyle Lutnick to advance Newmark’s technology, data and information strategy. He will also serve on the company’s executive committee. 
  • L+M Companies, one of the country’s leading affordable and mixed-income housing developers, elevated longtime L+M executives Eben Ellertson as its Chief Executive Officer and Carrie Van Syckel as its President and Chief Investment Officer. Ellertson and Van Syckel are L+M veterans, having worked together for over a decade. They will constitute a leadership team along with David Dishy, who will continue in his role as Chief Executive Officer of LMXD, the L+M affiliate focused on mixed-income and mixed-use development. 
  • Arrow Real Estate Advisors, a commercial real estate advisory firm specializing in debt and equity placement, today announced that Ethan Macanian and Jonathan Buchen have joined the firm as Directors. Macanian will be based in Philadelphia, where he will support Arrow’s expansion in the market. Buchen will work across Arrow’s New York City and New Jersey offices, focusing on the origination and structuring of debt and equity financing across a broad range of commercial real estate asset classes. 
  • Savills announced the continued expansion of its Workplace Strategy and Change Management practices, including the appointment of Benay Josselson as Executive Vice President and Head of Workplace Strategy and Change Management for North America. Josselson brings more than 20 years of experience spanning organizational leadership, communications, human resources, operational strategy and law. She advises executive teams on the intersection of business strategy, workplace and people and leads multidisciplinary teams that translate those insights into workplace and change strategies.  
  • CohnReznick, a leading professional services firm, today announced that Ajay Tailor has joined the firm as an Assurance Partner in its Commercial Real Estate practice. Based in the firm’s New York City office, Tailor provides assurance and advisory services to commercial real estate entities, private equity firms and REITs. 
  • MSIG USA appointed Oscar Aguilar as head of excess and surplus property. Aguilar brings more than two decades of underwriting and leadership experience in the property market, with deep expertise in E&S, shared and layered property, and complex commercial risks. Aguilar joins MSIG USA from Liberty Mutual Insurance, where he most recently served as senior vice president and national manager of major accounts property, shared and layered. 
  • FirstService Residential, the leading residential property management company in New York, announced that Senior Vice President Stephanie Cardello has been selected by the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) as the recipient of its 2026 Residential Management Executive of the Year award. This honor recognizes exceptional leadership and achievement within New York City’s residential property management industry. The award is presented annually as part of REBNY’s Residential Management Leadership Awards program.  
  • Newport Associates Development Company, a partnership of the LeFrak and Simon families, recently awarded $2 million in grants to 40 Jersey City nonprofit organizations, doubling their initial $1 million commitment in celebration of Newport’s 40th anniversary. The partnership also announced that it will contribute $1 million annually to local nonprofits for the next five years.
