Davis Names Managing Director for Mixed-Use Development

The Davis Companies has appointed Melissa Schrock to the newly created position of managing director of mixed-use development. Schrock will oversee Davis’ growing portfolio of mixed-use properties nationwide, supporting all project aspects including acquisition, entitlement and ground-up development.

“Davis has deep experience navigating complex development opportunities and working collaboratively with tenants, partners, stakeholders and communities,” said Schrock. “I look forward to building on that experience and helping advance projects that contribute to the long-term vitality of the places in which we work.”

Before joining Davis, Schrock served as EVP of mixed-use development at HRP Group, where she led the firm’s expansion into the urban mixed-use space, supporting five million square feet of mixed-use and life science innovation projects across the country. These included 776 Summer in Boston, a 19-acre site on the Potomac River in Alexandria, VA and the Innovation Campus at the Bellwether District in Philadelphia. She previously worked as VP of development at BXP and as development manager at Samuels & Associates.
