  • Avison Young has hired Matt Dzbanek as senior director in its New York City office as a member of the Tri-State Debt & Equity Finance team, co-led by principals Scott Singer and Andy Singer along with executive director Kevin Swartz. Dzbanek will focus on originating, structuring and executing debt and equity assignments for commercial real estate owners and investors while actively enhancing the collaboration among Avison Young’s New York City-based capital markets platform, which combines debt & equity finance and investment sales. 
  • Rithm Capital Corp. announced that Ann DeVries has joined the firm as head of investor relations. She will lead the development and execution of Rithm’s investor relations strategy, overseeing engagement with current and prospective shareholders and the sell-side analyst community.  
  • Columbia Property Trust, Inc. has appointed real estate industry veteran Bryan Rubin, who will serve as EVP of investments and development, based in New York. Rubin brings more than two decades of experience in real estate investment and finance to Columbia. Before joining Columbia, Rubin founded Laurel Capital Management, a real estate investment firm focused on structured subordinate capital investments. 
  • Principal Asset Management appointed Drew Fung as managing director, portfolio management. Based in New York, Fung will focus on commercial real estate debt investing, with an emphasis on high-yield and structured debt strategies. With more than 35 years’ experience in commercial real estate debt investing, lending, and portfolio management, Fung most recently served as managing director and partner at Clarion Partners, where he led the firm’s debt investment group. 
  • Michael Schirick has joined Cushman & Wakefield as the Tri-State Market Lead for Valuation & Advisory (V&A). In this role, Schirick will oversee the firm’s valuation business across New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, working closely with the national V&A leadership team to advance the firm’s client strategy throughout the Tri-State market. He succeeds Rob Nardella, who is transitioning from the Tri-State Market Lead position after 17 years in the role 
  • Savills has made three senior leadership appointments within its Global Occupier Services (GOS) business as the firm continues to expand its multi-market, multiservice relationships with corporate occupiers worldwide. The GOS appointments include Ryan Walsh, promoted to EVP, Global Head of Transaction Management and Account Operations and based in New York; Soufian Alsabbagh, promoted to SVP, Global Enterprise Solutions in New York; and London-based Kelly McGarvey, promoted to Global Head of Strategic Consulting. 
  • Greystone announced Charles Di Maggio, CEO of Greystone Real Estate Advisory Group, has been named the 2026 Outstanding Public Transportation Business Member by the American Public Transportation Association (APTA), the industry’s highest honor for a business leader whose work has advanced public transportation across North America.  Di Maggio and the other 2026 honorees will be recognized during the APTA Honors Ceremony on Tuesday, Oct. 6, in Chicago, at APTA’s TRANSform Conference and EXPO. 
  • Highgate, a leading global real estate investment and hospitality management company, appointed Erica Doyne as chief marketing officer. Doyne is an accomplished marketing executive with nearly two decades of leadership experience across the travel and hospitality industry. Most recently, she served as chief marketing officer of Cardinal Financial. 
  • Getty Realty Corp., a net lease REIT focused on convenience and automotive retail real estate, has closed a $260.9-million sale leaseback transaction with Refuel Operating Company, LLC , a leading convenience store and retail fuel owner and operator with approximately 250 locations in five states across the South. The company acquired 41 convenience stores and simultaneously entered into four long-term, unitary net leases with Refuel.
