Retail and Redevelopment Site Comes to Market in Boston’s North End

Marcus & Millichap has the exclusive listing for sale of 85-95 Salem St. in Boston’s historic North End neighborhood. Evan Griffith and Tony Pepdjonovic of Marcus & Millichap are leading the marketing campaign on the seller’s behalf.

“This is a generational opportunity to acquire a single-story urban retail property on one of the most highly trafficked streets in Boston,” said Pepdjonovic. “The property has a rich history in the North End, as the current ownership operated a hardware store on the site, which was a neighborhood staple from 1964 to 2016 before subdividing the building into separate storefronts.”

Griffith added, “The property is fully leased on a triple-net basis, providing investors minimal landlord responsibilities. The property benefits from exceptional visibility and consistent pedestrian activity from the millions of tourists each year, North End residents and the overflow from the Financial District.”

85-95 Salem Street is a 10,401-square-foot single story retail property comprised of four units situated on a 0.19-acre lot. It is fully occupied by Antico Forno, a North End Institution for 30 years, Wild Duck Market, City Smoke Shop and Luxie Nail Spa and provides as-of-right redevelopment up to five stories.
