Mitsubishi Spending $26M for Houston Office Improvements

Mitsubishi leased 91,761 square feet across floors 31-34 at 1100 Louisiana earlier this year, and now its ready for some improvements. The company expects to spend $26 million on renovationas to floors 31, 32, and 33 in the 55-story tower.

The Houston Business Journal reports the work will include the demolition and build-out of about 68,775 square feet of existing office space, as well as new partitions, updated finishes, a new ceiling, and improved HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems. The build-out will also include a 21,024-square-foot space on the 34th floor and a staircase connecting the 31st, 32nd and 33rd floors.

The entire build-out is expected to begin later this month and is scheduled to be completed by April 2027. Gensler is handling the design of the project.

Developed by Hines in 1980, 1100 Louisiana is one of downtown’s sixth-tallest office building. 1100 Louisiana has 1.3 million square feet of rentable office space, as well as 44,046 square feet of retail space.
