Corebridge Real Estate Investors, Davis Property & Investment Complete Sale of Industrial Distribution Facility for $55M
Corebridge Real Estate Investors and Davis Property & Investment announced the $55 million sale of Tacoma Central Logistics to an Ares Real Estate fund.
Tacoma Central Logistics is a 248,033-square-foot industrial distribution facility located at 1950 S. State Street in Tacoma, Washington. The disposition marks the successful culmination of a value-add development and lease-up strategy executed through the joint venture. CBRE represented the joint venture in the sale, with Bret Hartzell and Charles Safley leading the CBRE team.
The venture transformed the approximately 13-acre former headquarters and printing facility of the Tacoma News Tribune into a state-of-the-art distribution facility, developed to institutional-quality standards. Originally constructed in 1974, the former Tacoma News Tribune facility was acquired by the venture in 2021 and redeveloped as Tacoma Central Logistics. Marq Logistics will manage the property.
The project was completed in 2023 and achieved full lease-up after securing a long-term tenant commitment. The property is 100% leased to Moose Toys, an Australian-founded global toy company.
