New Hampshire Rehab Property Trades for $7.5M
A former rehab facility in Manchester, NH has changed hands for $7.5 million, with the new owner planning to open a recovery center at the property. Manchester Alcoholism Rehabilitation Center, an affiliate of nonprofit Easterseals, sold the property at 140 Queen City Ave. The buyer is RIO Holdings NH, LLC, an entity linked to the Recovery Institute of Ohio, a substance abuse and mental health treatment center in Sandusky, OH.
Colliers represented the buyer while Norton Asset Management and Harrington & Co. represented the seller. The facility previously operated as the Farnum Center, one of the state’s largest inpatient addiction recovery centers. The 70-bed facility ceased inpatient operations in the summer of 2025 due to financial strains.
With convenient access to downtown Manchester and Interstate 293, the property’s previous use and existing infrastructure made it especially suitable for RIO’s plans to bring its model of recovery care to New Hampshire. Colliers noted in a statement that the transaction followed a competitive bidding process.
