Industrial Developer Eyes Beltway 8 for Warehouse Venture
Levey Group acquired 30 acres on the northeastern Beltway 8 for a new industrial park. The Houston Business Journal reports the company likes to develop along Beltway 8 because it connects to all major highways quickly. With the Levey East Belt, the company will have developed nearly 200 acres and 2 million square feet of industrial real estate. Levey expects to build a 445,750-square-foot warehouse campus at the site.
The company bought a 20-acre site at the southeast corner of Tidwell Road and Beltway 8 East from Transwestern, adding to the adjacent 10 acres that Levey acquired in March from a private landowner.
It expects to break ground on the Levey East Belt by the first quarter of next year and complete it in the first quarter of 2028. The project will include three warehouses: a 270,400-square-foot front-load building and two rear-load buildings totaling 175,350 square feet.
Cushman & Wakefield’s Jim Foreman sourced the land for the project. Foreman’s team will also handle leasing.
