Benderson Picks Up 3 Florida Retail Assets for Nearly $37M
Benderson Development acquired three retail properties on the Gulf Coast, totaling 400,000 square feet. The company paid $36.91 million for the three properties.
The first acquisition is Granada Plaza, a Publix-anchored retail center located in the Tampa suburb of Dunedin at the intersection of Main Street and Keene Road.
The second acquisition is Venice Market Place, a shopping center at the intersection of Tamiami Trail and Center Road in Venice. It sold for nearly $10 million last month. Selig Enterprises was the seller.
Benderson also purchased a retail building leased to Lowe’s Home Improvement at 10070 Estero Town Commons Place in Estero. Benderson bought the store for $9.5 million in June. It last sold in 2005 for $4.38 million. The property is located at 10070 Estero Town Commons Place
Benderson is based in University Park and has more than 1,000 properties totaling 58 million square feet of retail space in its national portfolio.
