Biotech Firm Nears 700K-SF Lease at Former Google Hub

Revolution Medicines Inc. is nearing an agreement to lease 700,000 square feet at Pacific Shores Center in Redwood City, a former Google hub on the city’s bayfront, the Silicon Valley Business Journal reported. The lease would more than double the biotech company’s existing Redwood City presence as it prepares for a commercial launch of daraxonrasib, a pancreatic cancer drug that could generate billions of dollars in annual sales.

The lease would come during a period of transition for Pacific Shores, a 106-acre waterfront office campus at the end of Seaport Boulevard. The property became closely associated with Google after the tech giant bought much of the campus in 2014 and later used it as a major Peninsula hub. Google has not occupied the campus since July 2024 and recently sold it, reported the Business Journal.

Revolution’s move would also occur amid a biotech downturn that has left much of the Bay Area’s new lab space struggling to find tenants.
