Development Team Pursuing S. Nashville Hotel, Apartments
The proposal, which is weaving its way through Nashville’s approval process, includes a hotel, apartments and an ice rink in the middle. The Nashville Business Journal reports the entities tied to Darshan Patel and Richard Epperson will go before the Metro Planning Department for approval on Sept. 24.
The project, slated to rise at 4311 and 4319 Sidco Drive, will include two apartment buildings with ground-level retail and a 16-story hotel. (rendering courtesy Nashville Post)
In the center of it all, a large plaza is planned, with renderings indicating that it will offer an outdoor ice rink.
The properties currently house a La Quinta Inn and the Bedroom Nashville Event Venue, which would need to be demolished to make way for the new development. A Cracker Barrel and a Waffle House are located on either side of the project site. They’ll stay put.
