Sale of Baltimore’s 8 X 10 Music Venue Closes

Trout Daniel & Associates (TD&A) announced that Baltimore’s 8 x 10 live music venue has sold.

Long-time property owner Dave Rather, along with club operators Brian Shupe and Abigail Janssens, have collaborated to sell the property and business, respectively, to Pennsylvania-based Rising Sun Presents, the live music entertainment group headed up by Chris Perella.

Rather will remain in the deal, and along with Rising Sun Presents and Baltimore’s own singer-songwriter Cris Jacobs, the new partnership will deliver upgrades to the venue. Interior renovations and upgrades will be completed by October. Ownership will be announcing the grand reopening soon, along with upcoming shows. The combined sale price for the business and property has not been disclosed.

“To be able to carry on its legacy and partner up with such a great team is a true honor,” said Jacobs. The property was exclusively listed, marketed and brokered by Steven Cornblatt, Principal, and Coleman Tirone, Associate with TD&A.
