DFW Airport Slated to Pay $193.6M for Hyatt Hotel

The DFW Airport already owns the Grand Hyatt DFW, Hyatt Place DFW and Hyatt House, which is under construction and slated to open in summer 2027. It’s now eyeing a fourth Hyatt hotel property.

DFW Airport’s Public Facility Improvement Corp. board recently approved the purchase of Hyatt Regency DFW International Airport, located next to Terminal C. That vote will trigger a few more votes before the transaction is finalized. Dallas and Fort Worth have to give the deal its final approval.

Under the agreement, the airport would buy the hotel and its leasehold interest for up to $193.65 million while Hyatt continues to manage the property. Woodbine and Castle Lake bought the hotel in 2021.

The bid for Hyatt Regency also comes as the airport recently opened the first phase of an expanded Terminal C, which included five rebuilt gates and four new ones exclusively for American Airlines Group Inc.
