- Pembrook Capital Management LLC announced that Talia Feuerstein has joined the firm as SVP of asset management. Feuerstein brings more than 20 years of commercial real estate asset management, credit and investment experience to Pembrook. She most recently served as head of asset management for Lightstone Capital, where she managed more than $500 million in bridge loans.
- Debevoise & Plimpton LLP announced that Edward Rishty has been appointed chair of the Real Estate Group, effective immediately. He succeeds Peter Irwin, who will become the firm’s next general counsel as of Oct. 1. Chris Tahbaz, who has served as general counsel for the past eight years, will retire at the end of the year.
- SJP Properties has added Paul Chung as head of acquisitions. Chung will join a team focused on the acquisition and development of Class-A office and industrial buildings, residential properties, and mixed-use projects across the New York and New Jersey metropolitan area and select Southeast markets.
- NAREIM (National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers) has appointed Andy Walburger as CEO, effective August 17. Walburger brings more than 25 years of commercial real estate experience cultivating executive relationships and facilitating high-level peer exchange. Before joining NAREIM, he held senior commercial roles across leading real estate data, analytics, and technology platforms, including Green Street, Juniper Square and Ten-X.
- Brand Urban, a New York City-based national retail real estate advisory firm founded in 2019 by Taryn Brandes, announced that key members of the Alvarez & Marsal Property Solutions team have joined the company. Matthew Krell joins Brand Urban as principal, bringing more than two decades of experience advising leading national retailers and developers across the U.S. Daniel Bodner and Lucas Kooyman, each with more than 15 years of experience, join as EVP and VP, respectively.
- GBT Realty Corporation, a leading real estate development company creating innovative, sustainable, and high-quality retail, commercial, and mixed-use projects, is seeking a Sr. Development Manager in Nashville, TN. This role will oversee all phases of development while partnering with internal teams, capital partners, contractors and public agencies to successfully deliver projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of real estate development or project management experience managing development projects from acquisition to completion. - The Community Preservation Corporation (CPC), a mission-driven nonprofit multifamily housing finance company, has added four senior leaders across its lending, capital markets, legal and technology teams. Kristen Fontana has joined as head of capital strategies; Rachel Grossman has joined as head of permanent mortgage lending and capital solutions; Doug Stevinson has joined as deputy general counsel for litigation; and Serge Suponitskiy has joined as chief information officer.
- Ansley Park Capital, a lending and specialty finance platform, has made appointments across the origination, asset and portfolio management, finance, and contracts functions. Craig Goldberg was appointed as managing director & treasurer; James Fullerton as VP, asset management; Krystle Riggi as VP, contracts administration; Alex Cohen as assistant VP, originations; Christopher Dunn as assistant VP, underwriting & portfolio management; and Dani Villoresi as assistant VP, accounting & finance.
