Columbia Property Trust Finalizes 72K SF of Office, Retail Leasing

Columbia Property Trust, Inc. has finalized more than 72,000 square feet of office and retail leasing at 1800 M Street, its recently repositioned 565,000-square-foot office tower in the heart of Washington, D.C.’s Central Business District.

Over the past two years, Columbia has secured more than 242,000 square feet of leases, bringing the building to 83 percent leased. This momentum corresponds with its recent completion of a series of enhancements to 1800 M Street’s amenities program. Columbia recently introduced an expansive conference facility and lounge, as well as a reimagined rooftop terrace, lobby and concourse level.

Columbia is also adding Sorn Thai to the building’s street-level experience. The McLean, Virginia restaurant will expand with a D.C. location in 4,095 square feet at the base of 1800 M Street. Under a 10-year lease, the southern Thai-inspired restaurant is set to open in February 2027. It will join Sorella, a new Italian restaurant by the Balos Restaurant Group, which is slated to open in Spring 2027.
