Olmstead Signs Luckin Coffee to 10-Year Lease in Hudson Square

Olmstead Properties has signed Luckin Coffee to a new 10-year, 1,200-square-foot retail lease at 180 Varick St., bringing one of the country’s fastest-growing coffee brands to the base of the historic Hudson Square office building. Luckin Coffee will replace a neighborhood pizzeria and deli that had occupied the storefront for more than 40 years before its longtime owner retired.

Steven Marvin of Olmstead Properties represented ownership. “Luckin Coffee is an outstanding addition to 180 Varick St. and exactly the type of tenant we were seeking for the building,” said Marvin.  “As Hudson Square continues to evolve as one of Manhattan’s most dynamic office neighborhoods, we’re focused on bringing in amenities that enhance the daily experience for our tenants while serving the surrounding community. Luckin has built a strong following by delivering a modern, convenient coffee experience, and we’re excited to welcome them to the building.”

180 Varick St. has been owned by the Rosenblatt family since it was developed in the 1920s by Sam Rosenblatt’s great-grandfather, making it Olmstead Properties’ longest-held asset.
