Mission Properties Adding 247 Apartment Units, Retail to Charlotte-Area Portfolio

Mission Properties purchased a 19-acre parcel in Huntersville to build an apartment complex and 40,000 square feet of retail.

The Charlotte Business Journal reports the company paid $7.4 million for the parcel at Stumptown and Statesville roads.

Plans call for 247 studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments across a mix of four-story multifamily buildings and two-story carriage homes. The development will also have commercial and retail space across six buildings, located at Maruti Avenue and Stumptown and Statesville roads, as well as a series of 10-foot-wide multi-use trails.

Cline Design is handling architecture and design work.

Mission Properties’ local portfolio includes notable developments in FreeMoreWest, Elizabeth and Plaza Midwood, with regional projects in Rock Hill, Pineville, Hickory and Belmont. Its website lists active projects in Mooresville, Cornelius and Concord.

The developer has delivered more than 14,000 multifamily units and has completed or has under construction more than $2 billion in projects across North and South Carolina.
