Denver to Debut Two Aldi Stores
Grocer Aldi is introducing itself to Colorado by opening two Denver-area stores. The first is a location in Denver’s Central Park neighborhood in a retail property.
The Denver Business Journal reports the future store will be at the southeast corner of Interstate 70 and Central Park Boulevard, at 9111 E. 40th Ave. It will consist of a 19,132-square-foot store with beer and wine sales.
Another store is slated for a 2.37-acre site in northeast Denver, at the intersection of East 57th Avenue and Tower Road. This location is proposed to cover 19,957 square feet and would include 86 parking spaces, with an additional 4 accessible spaces as part of the development.
In January, Aldi announced its intent to bring more than 50 stores to the Denver and Colorado Springs area in the next two years.
Aldi is known for its no-frills shopping experience and smaller store layouts.
