Former 3.5M-SF Shreveport GM Plant Now Fully Occupied

Industrial Realty Group, LLC (IRG) announced that its tenant, SLB expanded its operations at IRG’s Shreveport Business Park campus, occupying a total of 3.1 million square feet, taking the balance of the remaining space at the former General Motors plant.

The milestone marks the culmination of a transformation for the 3.5-million-square-foot industrial campus. SLB, Hyundai Glovis, and USPS also operate on site.

SLB first announced plans to establish operations at the Shreveport campus in 2023, leasing more than 1 million square feet for advanced manufacturing operations. The project represented an $18.5 million investment. The most recent expansion came with an additional $30 million investment.

By 2027, an estimated 1,400 employees will work at Shreveport Business Park, well-surpassing the approximately 800 employees working there at the time of GM’s 2012 closure.
