Atrium Health Opens $163M Greensboro MOB

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist  (AHWFB) opened Medical Plaza Northwest Greensboro, at 2909 Horse Pen Creek Road. The $163 million, five-story, 134,000-square-foot facility will serve as a regional hub for outpatient surgery, specialty services and comprehensive cancer care. It brings a wide range of care together in one location, including cardiology, gastroenterology, general surgery, weight management, orthopedics and oncology, for patients across Greensboro and surrounding communities.

The ambulatory surgery center features three operating rooms, two procedure rooms and a dedicated heart and vascular procedure room. Additional on-site services include infusion therapy bays, a pharmacy, imaging and physical therapy. These integrated services are designed to provide patients with faster diagnoses, coordinated treatments and a more seamless healthcare experience — all in one convenient location close to home.

AHWFB is planning to build a $262 million community hospital next door. It is scheduled to open in the first half of 2029.
