Billingsley Moving Forward on $2B Sloan Corners Development

The $2 billion Sloan Corners is making progress. The development will include a number of restaurants, shops, offices, housing and recreational amenities on the border of Allen and Fairview.

The developer, Billingsley, is preparing to launch the next phase of commercial development at the nearly 500-acre site that spans the cities of Allen and Fairview. Billingsley is leasing a retail district planned near the intersection of Chelsea Boulevard and SH 121, where four buildings totaling roughly 35,000 to 40,000 square feet are envisioned.

The Dallas Business Journal reports that by bringing retail, dining and recreational amenities first, Billingsley hopes to create the activity and destination appeal needed to attract future office users and additional residential growth.

In addition to new retail, Billingsley is nearing completion of the first phase of Hartwood at Sloan Corners, a 500-unit apartment complex (shown). The entire community is expected to be completed within the next four to five months. 1,100 apartments are expected soon after, with office buildings in the works a bit later.
