Whole Foods Tapped to Anchor Southlake Mixed-Use Development
Whole Foods Market will anchor a 40-acre mixed-use community called Shivers Farm in Southlake. Trademark Property Co. is developing what will be a $120 million mixed-use development. The development will have 111,000 square feet of retail, 38,000 square feet of office space and 37 home lots, plus a 3-acre pad site for a hotel, entertainment or retail use. Construction is expected to start this summer and be completed by the end of 2027.
The Dallas Business Journal reports that the City and Trademark have reached an incentive agreement. Trademark would have to develop a property with a minimum taxable value of $80 million, make a minimum capital investment of $127.9 million, and support 200 to 265 full-time jobs at the development by June 30, 2028. In exchange, the city plans to enter into a tax increment reinvestment zone deal to provide Trademark with up to $18.85 million in grants over 18 years
Dwell Design Studio is the lead architect on the project. Ridgemont Construction is the general contractor .
