Prologis Names Karen Cherry as VP, Market Officer for Mid-Atlantic Market

Prologis announced the promotion of Karen Cherry to vice president, market officer for the Mid-Atlantic market.

She assumes the responsibilities of Emily Smith, who has stepped into a leadership role within Prologis’ customer-led solutions business based in Chicago. An accomplished commercial real estate executive with over 25 years of experience, Cherry brings expertise spanning investment, development, leasing and sales.

In her new role, she oversees Prologis’ Mid-Atlantic operating portfolio, comprising over 150 logistics facilities totaling more than 18 million square feet in Maryland, Washington D.C. and Northern Virginia. She is responsible for market operations, leasing, customer engagement and talent. 

Cherry joined Prologis in July 2021 as vice president, leasing officer, leading leasing for approximately 13 million square feet of logistics space in Maryland. She also managed the leasing and marketing team in Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia. Prior, she held leadership roles with The Howard Hughes Corporation and brokerage positions with Cushman & Wakefield, Lee & Associates, Trammell Crow Company and SVN International.
