NexPoint Adding Two Apartment Communities Near Cityplace

Nexpoint is building 469 apartments in two new five-story buildings along North Haskell Avenue near the 43-story Cityplace tower in Dallas. Branded The Apron, one building will have 263 apartments and more than 314,000 square feet, while the other will have 206 apartments across 235,000 square feet.

The Dallas Business Journal reports the estimated cost of both projects is nearly $100 million, with work scheduled to begin this December and wrap up by November 2029.

Plans for the nearby Cityplace tower, owned by NexPoint, call for converting 27 floors to residential units and 8 to a hotel. The $445 million remodel would also include an event and conference center on the ground level and on the 42nd floor. The conversion would leave just five floors of office space.

NexPoint bought Cityplace in 2018 for $195.8 million.
