Reality Sports Foundation Acquires Former School Campus in Tacoma for $6M

Reality Sports Foundation, a nonprofit athletic organization, has acquired the former Sound Christian Academy campus at 2052 S. 64th Street in Tacoma, Washington, for $6.375 million.

Executive Vice President Matt McLennan, SIOR, CCIM, Senior Vice President Steve Pelluer, and Associate Vice President Zeke Pelluer of Kidder Mathews represented the buyer in the transaction, while Vice President Bruce Barker, CCIM, MBA, also with Kidder Mathews, represented the seller.

Reality Sports purchased 7.34 acres of the 9.9-acre campus, including a regulation gymnasium with retractable bleachers, a weightlifting center, and classrooms. The property also features a sports field, a fully covered outdoor basketball court, and ample parking, providing Reality Sports with a versatile, multi-use facility tailored to its needs.

“When a client has a mission-driven purpose and a very specific set of needs, you can’t rush the process—you have to stay committed to finding the right fit,” said McLennan. “This team did exactly that. Seeing them secure a facility that truly supports their program made every step worthwhile.”
