Work Underway on $117M Plano Hotel
The $117 million Japanese-inspired Miyako hotel in Plano is coming out of the ground, with the design team saying the project is on track for a fall 2027 opening. Site work began last October. The slab has been poured, and the 12-story building is expected to top out in a few months. The Beck Group was brought on to build the hotel.
The Dallas Business Journal reports the Miyako is located in Plano’s Parks at Legacy Campus, just south of the JCPenney campus, which Capital Commercial Investment is redeveloping into a billion-dollar mixed-use project.
The 217-room hotel will feature amenities including a traditional Japanese restaurant, upscale lobby and rooftop bars, a Japanese bakery, an outdoor pool and fitness center, plus banquet and conference space.
The project marks Kintetsu Enterprises’ third hotel in the U.S. and first in Texas.
