BXP Completes $25M Renovation of 901 New York Avenue in DC

BXP announced the completion of the $25 million renovation of 901 New York Avenue, a 542,000 square foot office building in the East End of Washington, D.C. The newly upgraded, highly amenitized building has generated strong leasing momentum, with 41,000 square feet of new leases signed since announcing the repositioning of the asset.

The new lobby is designed by Sasaki and executed by HITT Contracting. As part of the $25 million investment, BXP partnered with client Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP to deliver the upgrades. The long-term building client renewed its approximately 214,000-square-foot lease in January 2024, extending its eight-floor lease for 18 years.

901 New York Avenue is centrally located in the heart of Washington, D.C., at the intersection of New York Avenue, Massachusetts Avenue and K Street. The building sits between the White House and the U.S. Capitol, across the street from the 2.3 million-square-foot Convention Center.
