W Magazine Signs Direct Lease at 1 World Trade Center

Avison Young secured a long-term lease for W Magazine at 1 World Trade Center in Lower Manhattan. The company will occupy 12,456 square feet on the 46th floor for its headquarters.

The Avison Young team of Joseph Gervino, Alexis Odgers and Jason Schwartzenberg represented W Magazine in leasing negotiations. The landlord, the Durst Organization, was represented internally by Karen Rose and by Newmark’s Paige Raisides.

“W Magazine, which was previously operating out of a sublease, was looking to establish a long-term headquarters in a high-quality building to reflect the strength of its brand and offer a compelling environment in which to host clients and collaborators,” said Gervino. “Companies are returning to making long‑term commitments to New York City and investing in permanent office environments that anchor their teams and operations.”

The new lease follows last week’s announcement that legal and compliance AI company Norm Ai leased 64,313 square feet at the 3.1-million-square-foot tower.
