Primo Brands Commits to First Building at Taunton Industrial Redevelopment

Silver City Business Park, an industrial redevelopment of the former Silver City Galleria in Taunton, MA, has secured its first tenant. The Boston Business Journal reported that the site’s first building, spanning 250,000 square feet, has been fully leased to Primo Brands for its water bottling and distribution business. Primo Brands owns Polar Springs and other major bottled water brands including Arrowhead, Pure Life, Deer Park and Zephyrhills.

The mall formerly occupying the 149-acre site was demolished in 2021, when Atlanta-based Portman Holdings acquired the site for $75 million. It is the company’s only property in New England. It was sold by Boston’s Thibeault Property Development, which paid only $7.5 million for the site in a foreclosure auction in 2019, a year before the mall closed.

A CBRE team of Steve Clancy, Rob Byrne, Danielle Frisch and Kendall Lynch handles leasing at Silver City Business Park, which at full buildout will total more than one million square feet.
