Related California, McCourt Forge JV for San Francisco Office/Hotel Tower

Related California said Monday it has formed a joint venture with Los Angeles-based McCourt Partners to develop the Jackson, a 41-story office and hotel tower planned for 530 Sansome St. in San Francisco. The San Francisco Chronicle reported that the size of McCourt’s contribution and terms of the partnership were not disclosed.

Located a block east of the Transamerica Pyramid and one block west of One Maritime Plaza at the edge of Jackson Square, 530 Sansome will include a 342,000-square-foot office space, a five-star hotel, 7,400 square feet of retail and restaurant uses, and a new Fire Station 13 at 447 Battery St. Related has already secured entitlements for the project.

“San Francisco is at an inflection point, and 530 Sansome is an investment in its future,” said Jordan Lang, president of McCourt Partners. “We are pleased to partner with Related California, a proven leader in delivering complex, high-impact developments. Together, we will create a project that strengthens the Jackson Square neighborhood with world-class commercial space bringing new energy and vitality to the downtown district.”
