Kissimmee Eyeing $180M Hotel, Convention Center

Kissimmee is advancing a $180 million-plus plan to replace the city’s civic center with a hotel and convention complex. Demolition of the existing Civic Center is expected to begin in mid-2026,

Azure Hotel International Inc. is heading up the project, which features a 10-story, 300-room hotel that will include a rooftop and a poolside bar, private balconies, lagoon-style vanishing-edge pools, full-service restaurants, a gym, spa and salon.

The development will feature a 45,000-square-foot convention center, along with restaurants, retail space, and hospitality amenities designed to support economic growth and enhance Downtown Kissimmee.

The convention center is expected to open in the fourth quarter of 2028. The hotel is targeted for the second quarter of 2029. It is being funded through a private-public partnership with the city and Azure.
