- NewPoint Real Estate Capital has made three senior hires as part of a major internal expansion. They include: Tyler Paul, who previously led multifamily underwriting at Grandbridge Real Estate Capital and was brought on as chief credit officer; Marshall Bass, who previously owned his own consulting firm and is now a managing director for healthcare bridge-loan underwriting; and Daniel Trejo, formerly of Basis Investment Group, who was hired as a senior asset manager.
- Jonathan Rose Companies, a leading mission-driven real estate investment and development firm, has appointed Brandon Kearse as president, managing partner and CIO. Founder and current president Jonathan F.P. Rose continues as CEO, chair of the board of managers and chair of the investment committee, while Carolyn Au, the firm’s COO, will serve as managing partner, chief risk officer and chief compliance officer.
- Jones, a vertical AI platform for insurance verification in construction and real estate, has appointed Paul Szemerenyi as CEO. The transition was initiated by co-founder and CEO Omri Stern as part of a long-term strategy to scale the company’s operations and meet unprecedented market demand. Szemerenyi, who brings extensive experience scaling global SaaS companies, will succeed Stern as CEO. Following the transition, Stern will move into an active role on the board of directors to focus on long-term strategy and innovation.
- Skanska USA, a leading global construction and development firm, promoted Ashley Jeffery to VP, head of communications for its building operations. In this role, Jeffery will oversee and drive national internal and external strategic communications, brand positioning and multi-channel engagement across the business unit.
- Platinum Commercial, the newly expanded commercial real estate arm of Platinum Properties, hired Monika Rais as head of operations. She will partner closely with CEO Khashy Eyn to strengthen the operational foundation of the expanding commercial division.
- Five Katz & Associates brokers have been promoted, including Michael Peguero and Sean Philipps in Katz’s New York City office. Both have been promoted to senior director. Other promotions include Holly Buchanan, promoted to SVP in Nashville; Allan Carlisle, based in Katz’s Boca Raton, FL office, promoted to senior director; and Ashley Cusker, based in Katz’s Nashville office, promoted to director.
- NAI James E. Hanson, the largest New Jersey-based full-service independent commercial real estate firm, announces that Christopher D. Todd, SIOR, senior managing director of the firm’s Institutional Services Group, has been appointed president of the New Jersey Chapter of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR). He joins a number of NAI Hanson team members who previously served as chapter president.
- Cain, the global investment manager, has appointed Arvi Luoma as CIO and Joe Stelzer as chief risk officer. Both will serve on the firm’s global investment committee as Cain advances its ambition to double assets under management over the next five years.
- Tredway, a mission-driven, New York-based real estate developer, has made two new hires: Katie Wheeler as VP, investments and Alex Radick as investment associate. Founded in 2021, Tredway has a portfolio of over 6,000 homes and 12,000 under contract and closing this year.
- A&G Real Estate Partners promoted Alexandra Graiser to senior managing director. Since joining A&G in 2018, Graiser has contributed to some of the nation’s highest-profile real estate restructurings, including Chico’s, The Container Store, Destination Maternity, Stage Stores, Pier 1 and GNC.
- Kasa, a hotel and apart-hotel brand and manager, has entered into a combination with Mint House, a premium residential hospitality operator of nearly 1,000 units nationwide. As part of this transaction, Mint House’s properties across premier U.S. markets will be integrated into Kasa’s platform.
- Red Stone Equity Partners LLC, a privately-owned real estate finance and investment company specializing in affordable housing fund and asset management, announced that 2025 marked the most productive year in its history. During the year, Red Stone Equity raised $1.75 billion of affordable housing equity and surpassed $13 billion in total equity raised and invested since its inception in 2007.
