Cedar Park Okays Incentives for Flying Car Supplier

Cedar Park City Council  approved an incentive program for a company that is at the forefront of the flying car craze. The town has agreed to provide $1.2 million incentive package to Wright One if they hire 164 new employees and make a $15.5 million capital investment into the city. The company is eyeing a lease at the Brushy Creek Corporate Park at 1200 Bmc Drive in an 18,085-square-foot facility.

Wright One, currently headquartered in Bridgeport, Connecticut, is developing the Wright Turbine. The powerful and energy-efficient propulsion engine could be integrated into flying car technology in the coming years.

Community Impact reports Cedar Park could conservatively expect $5.5 million in estimated taxable sales from Wright One over the next few years.
