Whole City Block Hits the Market in Downtown Fort Worth

A vacant city block in downtown Fort Worth is up for sale, a rare occurrence in Fort Worth’s recent history. Citadel Partners is listing the nearly one acre parcel at 801 and 811 Calhoun St. O-SDA is the owner/seller of the property.

The land has flexible zoning with no height restrictions, which The Dallas Business Journal reports could make it suited for high-density residential, hospitality, office or a mixed-use development. The block is where much of downtown’s development activity is occurring. The site is only two blocks from the new Texas A&M downtown campus, adjacent to the $700 million expansion of the Fort Worth Convention Center, and just one block from the Fort Worth Central Station-Trinity Metro.

Texas A&M is building a five-building campus, the first of which is expected to be completed next year.
