CMC Opening Cary Hotel, Another on Way
CMC Hotels has one hotel opening soon and another on the way. Hive House is opening this week at 1121 Ledsome Lane off Walnut Street near the Crossroads retail district.
CMC is also building a 7-story Residence Inn by Marriott next to Hive House. The Triangle Business Journal reports formerly the site of a Best Western hotel that opened in the 1980s, CMC demolished two buildings to make way for the Residence Inn, which is expected to open in 2026. Another building that was part of the Best Western was renovated to be Hive House. CMC purchased the land for the Best Western in 1984 for under $100,000.
Hive House is an extended-stay hotel featuring 45 suites, each with two bedrooms, full kitchens and a separate living area. Amenities include a lounge with a billiards table, chess nook, and fitness center.
The firm lists 11 hotels in its portfolio. CMC’s in-house general contractor, Chhabra Construction Corporation, handled construction at Hive House.
