New-acquired Houston hotel slated for sweeping upgrades

American Liberty Plans Sweeping Upgrades to Recently Purchased Houston Hotel

American Liberty Hospitality (ALH) and Escalera Capital have teamed up to buy the Hilton Houston Westchase Hotel at 9999 Westheimer Road.

The 297-room full-service hotel currently offers a range of amenities, including the Rio Ranch Restaurant and the adjoining Rio Bar, 10,000 square feet of meeting and event space, a pool deck, and a fitness center.

The Houston Business Journal reports the company plans to invest millions of dollars in improvements to upgrade nearly every facet of the hotel. The Hilton Houston Westchase was built in 1980 and was last renovated in 2014.

Planned renovations to the hotel will include improvements to all of its guest rooms, upgrades to the event space and a complete reimagining of the lobby and bar area to better connect them to the pool deck and event lawn.

ALH plans to begin construction work on the hotel’s improvements by the end of the year and hopes to finish the project by mid-2026. The hotel will remain open to guests throughout the process.
