Central Washington Named a Top Emerging Data Center Market
Central Washington’s abundant hydro power and land availability continue to attract demand, and the region recently ranked in the top 10 emerging data markets in a report by Cushman & Wakefield.
The emerging markets reflect both infrastructure strength and growing interest from hyperscalers. Central Washington is one of the fastest-growing markets, and it is seeing a continued surge as tech companies seek to bolster computing power for artificial intelligence and data center expansion projects.
The report highlighted that the largest hyperscale tenants are committed to reducing their carbon footprint while driving large-scale developments. There are several large data centers in Washington State are located in several areas, including East Wenatchee, Quincy, and the Seattle area. Microsoft has significant data center operations in Quincy and is expanding in East Wenatchee and Malaga.
