GFO building 65-story Miami tower at Courthouse location

GFO Unveils Miami Courthouse Redevelopment Plan

GFO Investments plans to redevelop the historic Miami-Dade Courthouse at 73 W Flagler St. and build a 65-story mixed-use tower on an adjacent property. The tower project will feature a combination of condominiums and rental units, along with common spaces, ground-floor retail, parking space, and pedestrian green space. The new tower would have more than 800 condos/apartments. (Photo—GFO Investments–Rendering done by NFLAB).

The S. Florida Business Journal reports that the historic courthouse would be repurposed as a mix of offices, hotels, hospitality and meeting rooms. The new skyscraper construction will preserve the courthouse tower in its entirety.

The county moved into a new courthouse in 2020. The old courthouse was built in 1929.

On its website, GFO Investments says it focuses on real estate development and funding opportunities in the condominium, multifamily, hospitality, and industrial sectors. Its office partners in real estate development projects are companies such as Related Group and Terra Group.
