Edged Data Centers Opens New AI-Ready Data Center in Aurora

Edged has completed construction on its newest, ultra-efficient data center designed to power Chicagoland’s exponential AI boom and deliver connectivity to the region.

A grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony featuring Aurora Mayor Irvin as well as city officials and representatives from Edged and ComEd is planned to mark the facility’s completion. Strategically located at 2835 Bilter Road in Aurora, the 96 MW campus is optimized for high-density Artificial Intelligence (AI) workloads and equipped with ultra-efficient energy systems and advanced waterless cooling that is expected to save nearly 380 million gallons of water each year compared to traditional data centers.

Edged Energy is a vertically integrated global platform of on-demand data centers. Its operations are carbon and water-neutral. In addition to the Chicago data center, the company has locations across North America in Atlanta, Columbus, Dallas, Kansas City and Phoenix.
