  • New York Life announced a planned leadership transition in New York Life Real Estate Investors (NYLREI), its $68-billion real estate investment arm. Managing director Thomas O’Hanlon will become head of NYLREI when senior managing director Mark Talgo, current NYLREI head, retires at the end of June. O’Hanlon will continue to serve in his current capacity as head of real estate equity as well.  
  • Global investment firm KKR has appointed Guy Metcalfe as senior advisor. Metcalfe will leverage his extensive real estate and capital markets expertise and relationship network around the world to support KKR’s global real estate investment activity, platform growth and other strategic initiatives. He previously served as managing director at Morgan Stanley and led its real estate investment banking business for over two decades before retiring as global chairman in 2024.  
  • CBRE has expanded its U.S. Debt and Structured Finance business by adding industry veteran Drew Anderman as a vice chairman in New York City. Anderman brings experience executing complex commercial real estate financing transactions nationwide, closing deals totaling more than $90 billion throughout his career. He joins CBRE from Meridian Capital Group, where he spent the last 11 years leading the firm’s high-performing brokerage teams. 
  • Separately, CBRE has appointed Stephen Eynon as senior managing director. He will join the New York Tri-State leadership team to support the region’s office leasing business. With a 30-year career at CBRE, Eynon brings extensive experience in office landlord and tenant representation. He has represented more than 30 million square feet of commercial real estate for institutional owners and assisted public and private companies in their search for office space nationwide. 
  • ISS, a global leader in workplace experience and facility management and one of the largest employers in the world with 320,000 employees,appointed industry veteran Joe Stolarski as president of its newly established East Division for ISS North America. In the newly created role, Stolarski will lead the ISS North America business in the eastern U.S. He has spent most of his 25-year career at JLL, where he held several senior leadership roles including chief revenue officer, corporate solutions and president, corporate accounts. Most recently, Stolarski served as CEO of Integrated Smart Solutions at Kterio, a building systems technology startup operating in the U.S. and Europe. 
  • Savills hired Jonathan Schifrin as senior managing director in its New York office. The addition will expand Savills’ life sciences capabilities and biotech tenant advisory services across the New York region. Schifrin joins the firm from CBRE, where he was SVP. He also held positions at Transwestern and JLL, where he focused on representing tenants and landlords in the office and life sciences industry.  
  • Tenant rep firm Cresa promoted Rob Sattler to managing principal. A 17-year veteran of the industry, Sattler has been part of the New York Cresa team since 2013. His experience encompasses a broad range of industries, including technology, media, financial, legal, creative, insurance, healthcare, life sciences, not-for-profit, government, and education. 
  • Dealpatha real estate investment and deal management platform, appointed Cindy Hustveit as VP of marketing. Hustveit will be responsible for the company’s global marketing strategy, team, and programs. With more than 17 years of progressive marketing experience, she joins Dealpath from WorkMarket by ADP, where she was head of marketing. 
  • CRE 360 Partners, a full-service commercial real estate consulting firm headquartered in Red Bank, NJ, hired Kevin Bissell as SVP of real estate research, where he will lead research initiatives to help clients identify and capitalize on growth opportunities in retail real estate. Bissell brings more than 35 years of experience in real estate research and site selection. His career includes leadership roles at American Stores, Albertsons, Weingarten Realty Investors and MTN Advisors. 
  • Fifth Wall, a $3-billion asset manager investing in the proptech space, has launched Fifth Wall Securities, a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) registered broker-dealer. Fifth Wall Securities will focus on delivering advisory services to its clients in areas including mergers & acquisitions along with capital raising. Most recently, Fifth Wall Securities served as an advisor to Industrious, a Fifth Wall portfolio company and a leading provider of flexible workplace solutions, in its definitive agreement to be acquired by CBRE.

Prior to joining Connect, Paul was Managing Editor for both Real Estate Forum and GlobeSt.com at American Lawyer Media, where he oversaw operations at both publications while also producing daily news and feature-length articles. His tenure in B2B publishing stretches back into the print era, and he has served as Editor in Chief on four national trade publications. Since 1999, Paul has volunteered as the newsletter editor of passenger rail advocacy groups (one national, one local).
