The Boston Planning Department board this month approved six new development projects representing approximately 859,726 square feet. Spanning the Boston neighborhoods of Allston, Brighton, Dorchester, Jamaica Plain and Roxbury, the new projects will create 577 residential units, including 251 that are designated as income-restricted.

The board approved the following:

  • 250 Everett St. in Brighton, on what is currently a parking lot and office space; 240 residential units, 41 income-restricted.
  • 101-109 Boston St. in Dorchester, a passive house development that will create 53 new housing units, including eight income-restricted.
  • 3458 Washington St., replacing an autobody repair shop in Jamaica Plain to become new housing; 34 units, including eight income-restricted.
  • 23-25 N. Beacon St. in Allston, ground-up construction of 25 residential units, including four income-restricted.
  • An amendment to a plan to convert an office building downtown at 101 Tremont St. to student housing.
