  • Axonic Capital, a real estate-focused investment manager with $6 billion in assets under management, has hired James “JJ” Jordan as a partner. With nearly 20 years of industry experience, Jordan previously served as a principal and portfolio manager focused on North American commercial real estate and structured credit at Taconic Capital, where he spent more than a decade and established and drove the growth of its CRE platform. Jordan will be joined at a later date by other senior Taconic real estate team members.
  • Cohen & Steers, Inc. has appointed Jon Cheigh as president, effective Jan. 1, 2025. Cheigh remains CIO and will continue to focus most of his time on leading the investment department. He joined Cohen & Steers in 2005 as a research analyst on the U.S. real estate team. 
  • SVN International Corp., a global commercial real estate brand, appointed Torey Riso as co-chair of the SVN Healthcare Product Council. In his new role, Torey will work alongside chair Catherine House, CRE, FRICS, CCIM and other council members to further enhance SVN’s presence and expertise in the healthcare real estate sector. Based in New York, Riso is an executive managing director of SVN | Senior Living Advisors with more than 30 years of business and legal experience. 
  • As part of its strategic growth initiative, Woodmont Properties has expanded its leadership team, including the appointment of Blaise Lucas, CPA, as VP of accounting. Bringing nearly 20 years of real estate accounting experience to his new role, Lucas will oversee Woodmont’s financial policies, provide direction for all accounting functions and ensure proper financial controls are in place. Before joining Woodmont, he served as SVP and controller at Vornado Realty Trust, held roles at Turner Construction and Deloitte and led his own firm, Lucas Financial.  
  • BH3 Management, a vertically integrated national real estate investment firm, has named Adam Falk as principal and co-portfolio manager. Falk, based in BH3’s Manhattan office, will lead deal sourcing, asset management, and portfolio management for the BH3 Fund Advisors platform, driving its growth and expansion in major U.S. markets. 
  • EMCOR Group, Inc. elected Amy E. Dahl to its board of directors. Dahl is currently the VP, international business & strategy of the Toro Company, a worldwide provider of solutions for the outdoor environment including turf and landscape maintenance, snow and ice management, underground utility construction, rental and specialty construction and irrigation and outdoor lighting. 
  • Bluerock Value Exchange, a national sponsor of 1031 exchange and Delaware Statutory Trust (DST) investment programs, has fully subscribed BR Diversified Industrial Portfolio III, DST (DIP III) program with $41.2 million in equity from third-party investors. The unleveraged DIP III DST offering includes a six-property industrial sector portfolio with locations in the Sunbelt featuring approximately 359,000 square feet of warehouse / distribution properties and nine distinct tenants.     
  • Silverstein Properties, a leading real estate development, investment, and management firm, and its partners SwiftConnect, Allegion and Kastle, announced they are live with resident keys in Apple Wallet for all apartment units at Silverstein’s Silver Towers residential property at 606 W. 42nd St. in Midtown Manhattan. Silverstein said Silver Tower residential tenants now have an easy and secure way to add a resident key to Apple Wallet to access the apartment building and unlock their homes with a tap of an iPhone or Apple Watch, eliminating the need to use a traditional, physical key.
