Development Consortium Selected for MXU on Site K at Javits Center
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul on Thursday announced the selection of the Hudson Boulevard Collective — a partnership of BRP Companies, BXP, The Moinian Group and Urbane Development — as the conditionally designated entity to create a $1.35-billion mixed-use project at 418 Eleventh Ave. in Manhattan, also known as “Site K” of the Jacob K Javits Convention Center.
The development on one of the last state-owned parcels in Manhattan represents the first project in New York City to be permitted to build to a residential Floor Area Ratio above 12.0. To be known as HDSN, the project would create 1,349 residential units, including 404 permanently affordable homes, across from the Javits Center.
The proposed project will be sponsored by the New York Convention Center Development Corporation, a subsidiary of Empire State Development. It will be required to undergo environmental review under the State Environmental Quality Review Act and will be presented for public review and comment before its final consideration and approval.
