  • Dallas-based MYCON General Contractors, Inc. (MYCON) has welcomed safety director, Trey Lopez, CSHO, OHST. With more than 30 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental (HSE) management across diverse industries, Lopez is set to bring expertise to MYCON’s safety program.
  • Endeavor Real Estate, an Austin-based real estate firm with $5.4 billion in real estate assets, today announced the hiring of Andrew S. Levy as Managing Principal. Levy will be based in Dallas, where he will focus on office acquisitions for Endeavor throughout the Sunbelt Region.  Before joining Endeavor, Levy spent the last twenty years as Senior Managing Director and co-head of the Dallas office of JLL Capital Markets, Americas, and HFF prior to its acquisition by JLL.
  • Industrial Outdoor Ventures  (IOV) completed the acquisition of adjacent industrial outdoor storage assets on Hightower Drive in Garland, Texas, northeast of Dallas. IOV now operates seven IOS and truck parking assets in the Dallas marketplace. Combined, the newly acquired properties total 5.74 acres with almost 26,000 square feet of buildings. The properties are available for lease to a single user or individually. 
  • CBRE closed a 122,963-square-foot lease at Portside Logistics Center in Baytown, Texas, to Borusan Pipe, a steel pipe manufacturer. CBRE’s Grant Hortenstine and Susan Haysom represented the tenant, Borusan Pipe. Stream’s Tyler Maner and Jeremy Lumbreras represented the landlord, a joint venture between Stream Realty Partners and Principal Asset Management, in the transaction. The lease is for a new distribution center and will be an expansion of the company’s current Texas headquarters. 
  • Pearlmark, in partnership with OTH Capital closed on the acquisition of 1800 Broadway, a 2013-vintage, 228-unit, midrise apartment community in San Antonio. The Property is located in the Lower Broadway corridor and is adjacent to the historic Pearl District of San Antonio. This acquisition is the second joint venture between OTH Capital and Pearlmark in San Antonio, but the first acquisition with OTH Capital and Pearlmark Equity Partners II, L.P. (“PEP II”), Pearlmark’s value-add equity fund focused on middle market multifamily and industrial investments across the U.S. IPA arranged the transaction and Prime Finance provided the acquisition financing.
