Amazon-Backed Residential Development Opens in Bellevue

An affordable housing community that was once a former senior-living community has officially opened its doors in Bellevue.

The renovation project was overseen by Seattle-based Great Expectations and AOF/Pacific Affordable Housing Corp. The Crossroads Apartments project is a conversion of the former Sagebrook Senior Living Center, located at 15750 NE 15th St., reported the Puget Sound Business Journal.

It has 108 units of affordable housing for those earning between 60% to 80% of the area median income. Crossroads was funded by a $10.8 million low-rate loan from Amazon Housing Equity Fund (HEF). Great Expectations and California-based nonprofit AOF/Pacific acquired the Sagebrook Senior Living Center in late December 2023 for $16.5 million.

Crossroads Apartments features a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom units. Rush Construction is the general contractor, and Baylis Design is the architect for the project.
