- S2 Capital promoted three professionals to senior positions in the Dallas office and brought in a fourth. They are Ryan Everett, Managing Director and head of Acquisitions; Cole Stephen, Managing Director and head of Asset Management; Jared Everett, Managing Director of Portfolio Management; and Brooks Teeter, a new hire, vice president of asset management.
- Law firm BakerHostetler announced today that it will launch an Austin office on January 1, 2025. The Austin opening will coincide with the addition of a 10-lawyer affordable housing team joining BakerHostetler from Locke Lord. Cynthia Bast, who is nationally renowned for her affordable housing development and finance practice, is joining BakerHostetler and will serve as the Austin office Partner-in-Charge. She will co-lead a new Community Development team with current BakerHostetler partner Nathan Ware.
- Cushman & Wakefield announced today that Celeste Fowden has joined the firm as Director of Brokerage in Austin and San Antonio. Fowden will be based in Austin and will lead strategic growth initiatives for the firm’s advisory services, with responsibilities including recruiting top talent, growing market share across business lines and elevating client services.Fowden brings more than 20 years of commercial real estate experience to her new role, including her previous tenure with Cushman & Wakefield as part of the Office Capital Markets team.
- CBRE closed a 122,963-square-foot lease at Portside Logistics Center in Baytown, Texas, to Borusan Pipe, a steel pipe manufacturer. CBRE’s Grant Hortenstine and Susan Haysom represented the tenant, Borusan Pipe. Stream’s Tyler Maner and Jeremy Lumbreras represented the landlord, a joint venture between Stream Realty Partners and Principal Asset Management, in the transaction. The lease is for a new distribution center that will expand the company’s current Texas headquarters. Borusan owns a production facility located across the street at 4949 Borusan Road.
- Partners Development acquired more than 4.2 acres of medical-zoned property within the Easton Park master-planned community in Southeast Austin, Texas. This acquisition marks a step forward in Partners Development’s plans to develop a multi-phase medical and professional services complex tailored to meet the needs of one of Austin’s most dynamic and rapidly growing communities.
- JLL has hired John Pasta as Executive Vice President of its Data Center Solutions Group in Dallas. As demand for data centers in DFW continues to rapidly increase, Pasta will apply his 13 years of expertise and join JLL’s existing team.
