Davis Acquires Advanced R&D Facility in Andover

The Davis Companies purchased a 308,970-square-foot Class A advanced research and development and manufacturing facility located at 100 Minuteman Park in Andover, MA. Although Davis did not disclose the seller or sale price, published reports identified the seller as Alexandria Real Estate Equities and the price as $67.8 million. Newmark represented the seller.

The building serves as the headquarters for both Straumann Manufacturing Inc. and Zwicker & Associates, each at 100 Minuteman Park for nearly 20 years. Straumann develops dental implants, instruments, prosthetics and biomaterials, while Zwicker is a law firm specializing in debt collections and creditor representation.

“100 Minuteman Park is the latest asset added to Davis’s expanding portfolio of premier advanced research and development properties, which focuses on tier 1 locations, functionality and ample power in the greater Boston region as well as around the country,” said Cappy Daume, chief portfolio management officer at Davis.
