Lendlease Unveils Branding for Greenpoint Waterfront Residential

Lendlease and joint venture partner Aware Super unveiled the name and new renderings for The Riverie, an 834-unit multifamily development at 1 Java St. along the Brooklyn waterfront in Greenpoint. Leasing is slated to start in 2025.

Located on a full-block site, The Riverie includes two residential towers reaching 37 and 20 stories, along witha mid-rise podium with frontages on India, Java and West streets. Thirty percent of the development’s apartments are designated as affordable housing under the Affordable New York Housing Program.

“From day one, we envisioned The Riverie as a thriving residential community with boundary-pushing sustainability features and a meaningful connection to the Greenpoint waterfront,” said Meg Spriggs, managing director of development, Americas, Lendlease.

Douglas Elliman Development Marketing is the exclusive marketing and leasing agent for the market-rate rental residences, and Capricorn Retail Advisors is the exclusive marketing and leasing agent for the ground-floor and waterfront retail.
