WeWork Will Manage 304K-SF Penn District Space for Amazon

WeWork Inc. has signed a 304,000-square-foot lease in a partnership with Amazon, the New York Business Journal reported. The coworking company is taking the space at Vornado Realty Trust’s 330 W. 34th St., part of the REIT’s Penn District portfolio.

WeWork will customize and manage the office space for Amazon as the e-commerce giant looks to bring its workers back to the office five days a week. The signing gives WeWork control over a large portion of the 682,000-square-foot building.

“We are pleased to confirm that WeWork is working with Amazon to support its real estate strategy,” a WeWork spokesperson told the Business Journal. “This collaboration underscores our commitment to sustainable growth and meeting the diverse needs of our clients where they need us most. Located at 300 W. 34th St., in the heart of Midtown Manhattan — one of the city’s most dynamic and rapidly evolving commercial hubs — this location perfectly aligns with WeWork’s approach to flexibility and innovation.”
