CRC Names Matthew Joiner as SVP, Multifamily Acquisitions

Continental Realty Corporation (CRC) has selected Matthew Joiner as Senior Vice President, Multifamily Acquisitions. Formerly Senior Director and Head of US Multifamily for CapitaLand Investment in New York, Joiner has more than 18 years of diversified real estate experience.

Joiner’s primary responsibility will be to identify and acquire multifamily properties in CRC’s target markets throughout the Southeast region of the country. He will also direct due diligence and closing efforts, establish new relationships within the brokerage and capital markets industries, and support underwriting responsibilities.

Joiner will be based in CRC’s New York City offices and will team with Ari Abramson, CRC’s Vice President of Multifamily Acquisitions to investigate and pursue acquisition opportunities. “With our goal of owning and operating 20,000 multifamily units by 2030, it was essential to expand our team with a highly seasoned real estate professional like Matt, who brings extensive relationships and a successful track record in acquisitions, including buying larger portfolios,” said JM Schapiro, CRC’s Chief Executive Officer.
